CONTRARY TO WHAT YOU'VE LIKELY READ, THE M-BUTTON IS NOT EASIER, FASTER, OR IN ANY WAY LESS COMPLICATED THAN RUNNING DIRECT WIRES FROM YOUR SWITCHES TO THE M-UNIT. THE M-BUTTON MUST BE INSTALLED INSIDE YOUR HANDLE BARS AND THIS IS NOT A SIMPLE TASK.

If you are building a show bike where all of your wiring and cabling is run internally then this is a brilliant device for accomplishing this.

The mo.Button (m-Button) is a CAN-BUS device that converts the switch inputs to digital signals and sends them over a single, thin cable to the mo.Unit.

Click here for schematics when using mo.Button with mo.Unit

The m-Button has connections for:

  • Left turn signal
  • Right turn signal
  • Light (alternating between low beam and high beam)
  • Electric Start
  • Horn
  • Front brake light switch

Dimensions:

  • Diameter: 12 mm
  • Length: 25 mm
  • The cables have a length of about 60 cm. The cable to the m-unit is 200 cm long.
  • Weight about 30 gr

m.button

well made, well labeled product typical of motogadget. A little more effort required for install but well worth it. Can recommend enlarged and de-burred holes for ease of pulling wires through bars at switch points. I wrapped the ends of each bundle of wires (to left and right) with tape and a length of string attached. Other end of the string a small steel nut, then used a magnet to guide each nut& string to the holes. Worked a charm and elevated frustration. con: suggested wire colouring on m.button label differs from that suggested when using m.unit or classic diagrams. So make you note and plan your wiring colour continuity!

Takes a bit of planning and effort to get all this into the inside of you handlebars and attached to your momentary switches. You'll need to leave time to plan and assemble but the benefit of having all those connections reduced down to one wire (plus a ground) is worth it.

Simplified wiring!

I wired this into my head light bucket and the wire runs right past my ignition and coils with NO PROBLEMS at all! Got a 3 button m.Switch for left hand controls, and a 2 button for the right. (1977 CB750). All that wiring stays up front in the headlight bucket, and 1 wire back to the m.unit.

Motogadget M-Button

Thought it was a gimmicky type of product before but really does help simplify wiring. Wires are thin but it’s for a reason, it’s a lot of wires in a small package.

★★★★★

100% impressed over and over again by Jeff & Co at Revival. They’re patient and kind no matter the enquiry (currently resto-modding an R100/7 and have LOTS of questions about the Motogadget rewire) and go out of their way to offer creative solutions and out of the box thinking. I will forever return and recommend Revival.

I cannot recommend Revival Cycles enough. Not only do they have a great assortment of gear and accessories but they provide superb customer service. I was having some difficulty making it work... Jeff pointed out what I was missing and also provided schematics to make it work. Thank you guys very kindly, your crew rocks.
