Small analog speedo with retro styling.

Bezel Finish

Revival Cycles procured and now carries these very fine Motogadget gauges that are known to be the finest available and are all made in Germany. Several of our complete custom projects are now using these fine pieces and impressive they definitely are. Why give up function when reducing down to one gauge? These allow you to keep it all and simplify the look of your custom project.

The Motoscope Speedster is identical to the Motogadget motoscope tiny, but has a slightly different face reminiscent of art-deco designs of the the 1940's and 1950's. This gauge is a very small analog instrument indeed. (We can send reference photos if needed) It measures the speed digitally and indicates it precisely with a stepper motor and a pointer.

Functions: Speed indication up to 200 km/h (or mph) by pointer - speed higher than 200 is displayed numerically in the LED display (km/h or mph), trip odometer (km or mi), total odometer (km or mi), maximum speed (km/h or mph), on-board voltage, time, and 4 LED indicator lights.

Ingenious technology makes the classical look possible without compromises. The dial completely gets by without display cut-out and LC-Display. The display of digital values is achieved from a LED display that shines only in the switched ON state from the back of the dial. Thus, the Motoscope Speedster is unobtrusive and integrates seamlessly with a classic style while using digital technology without compromising style.

This is the perfect solution for those minimalists searching for a small analog speedometer without losing function.

The Housing:

The robust aluminium billet housing is made on CNC-machines, brushed and black anodized. The Bezel on top is also black anodized or mirror polished available. The housing is completely waterproof and vibration resistant.

Display and Dial
The beautiful analog dial in black and white is illuminated with white LED back light. Behind the black part of the dial an LED display is hidden which is only visible during operation. When the bike is switched off you cannot see it. To get best readability in the dark, dawn and sunlight, the brightness of all LEDs is automatically dimmed to suit its surroundings.

If the max analog scale is exceeded then the speed is displayed numerically in the LED display. Integrated in the black part of the dial are also the four indicator lights (blue, ret, yellow, green). These, too, are only visible when illuminated.

Operation
You can change the display and setup the instrument with one push of button at your handle bar remotely if desired. The standard default display shows the clock. All other values like odometer, trip odometer, maximum speed can be displayed with one push of the button. Also, with this button you can reset, adjust and perform setup operations. Your setup and specific values will be saved in the motoscope even if power is lost.

Installation
Due to the small size of the instrument you can mount it anywhere easily with two threaded holes (M3) at the back of the housing.
We offer several brackets to install it. Further brackets will be offered in the future.

Wiring and Sensors
Each gauge has reverse-voltage protection and a simple wiring and the detailed installation and operation manual makes it easy to install. Included is a high-quality speedo sensor made of stainless steel that is very small too (M5/23 mm). It has a cable of 1,5 m length and can be installed easily on the front or rear wheel.

The motoscope tiny is also compatible with most of original speedo sensors(Dry-Reed and inductive proximity sensors. In some cases you can connect the gauge without the need to install a sensor. An intelligent 'Learn-Function' enables the instrument to calibrate itself when riding the bike.

Versions
The motoscope tiny and mst speedster are available with a black housing and polished or black anodized bezel. The motoscope tiny vintage gauge is only available with a brass bezel and brass pointer.

Motogadget Motoscope Speedster

Love it but but wished that there was a low gas fuel indicator light. Also the red triangle indicator kept on turning on when my bike was hot. Read the forums and looks like the red triangle indicator will start flashing when the bike engine temp is over 110 degrees (which is set for a liquid cooled bike but my bike is air cooled which the temp will go up to at least 140 degrees). So I had to disable the purple wire from the harness so the indicator will not turn on anymore. Other than that it looks pretty damn sweet!

100% impressed over and over again by Jeff & Co at Revival. They’re patient and kind no matter the enquiry (currently resto-modding an R100/7 and have LOTS of questions about the Motogadget rewire) and go out of their way to offer creative solutions and out of the box thinking. I will forever return and recommend Revival.

I cannot recommend Revival Cycles enough. Not only do they have a great assortment of gear and accessories but they provide superb customer service. I was having some difficulty making it work... Jeff pointed out what I was missing and also provided schematics to make it work. Thank you guys very kindly, your crew rocks.
