Another good “Guzzi friend” of the shop has had this one for many years. It went to another shop for gearbox love a year ago and the plan didn’t exactly come together. It came to us in pieces and sad, so we’re about to embark on making it whole again. After many thousands of miles and smiles this one is finally in need of some serious freshening up. This will turn into a full custom restoration of sorts.

The Royal Enfield Interceptor was finally up and running after a long sit, but a nice long test ride only pointed to more issues. The primary chain was beyond worn out and bodged together, both sprockets and the chain were toast and the clutch was slipping due to worn out springs and a carrier. After two bad tries and a bucket of money, our source in England sent us all new reman. parts and the chore of reassembly has begun. This rare and beautiful machine is going to be solid!

The V7 classic hit a stall while we pondered several options for the frame and tail and a complete project reassessment, but it got a lot of attention these past few weeks. With work progressing on the V50, we realized just how similar this new retro bike is completely based on its older brother. We de-tabbed the frame similarly to the V50, but this one will end up with a different tail to match the already existing classic clone tank it came with. This means mocking up in foam the shape we’re after……more to follow.

We sectioned the tail out of the rear of another RD400 tank that we found. This seemed the logical way to get similar proportions and lines for the tail cowl. Things are really starting to look good.

The Guzzi V50 is making progress. We de-tabbed the frame and began the operation of fitting a Yamaha RD400 tank that seemed to match the square lines perfectly. With some reworking it was coerced into mounting nice and straight. We removed the factory petcock and are planning to hide one inline. A matching tail section is in the works….

The Ducati Paul Smart custom work (round 1) has come to a close. We are all very happy with the result. We started it off by building a new custom tail section with a suede seat and vintage tail light with LED’s cut and fit into the tail. Our smallest AND BIGGEST part of this project is the one-off custom set of MICRO LED turn-signals that we CNC’d out of aluminum and hid in the frame. They are amazingly tiny AND bright! We also fabricated a custom mount for the problem-ridden and HOT voltage regulator to mount it behind our custom license plate bracket. Also installed were new brake calipers front and rear, new stainless brake lines, new Brembro masters, new brake and clutch reservoirs and new braided oil lines. I know  I’m leaving something out here, but now it’s time to turn attention back to the GT Sport where we’re getting much more ambitious! Stay Tuned!

Another custom has been commissioned and is soon to be given the Revival treatment! We’ve begun with a nice complete V50 that served its previous owner well as it was ridden cross-country a few times and will soon be ready for many more miles. We’ve already removed the top-end for freshening and the motor will soon be pulled so we can shorten the frame and get rid of all the superfluous tabs as well. In just a few minutes time this machine is already shaping up to be a nicer ride….

We’ve begun work on a full custom-framed Ducati…..neat.

Sometimes we just wish we were out tearing up trails on customer bikes too…..

The Paul Smart custom tail section with LED taillight and hidden LED turn signals is nearly complete!

Revival is excited to announce that we’re now carrying the Motogadget brand and their entire line of custom gauges. These are the finest gauges we’ve ever seen for vintage AND modern applications and allow you to use ALL of factory sensors on modern bikes, but have a VERY vintage look. These are handmade in Germany and the quality shows. Why buy cheap when you can get something this superior?

The Paul Smart tail section is progressing. A new alloy seat pan was covered in high-density foam and then lovingly wrapped with thick suede leather to match the new Posh grips. Finally a fitting seat to a fantastic retro bike. We’re waiting on the taillight bezel to come back from chrome to help complete the vision…..more to follow.

More progress on the project HD883.

More to come of this beautiful little guy….
