Brake and Clutch levers are not all alike and any time you're installing an aftermarket cable pull brake or clutch perch you'll almost certainly have to build a new cable to go with it.
We've collaborated with the experts at Venhill Engineering to develop a kit to service all of the levers available here on our site as well as nearly any other lever you might come across.
Each kit provides enough material to build a single cable along with with a selection of ferrules, elbows, adjusters a variety of the most common nipples with a spare of each in case you need a do over.
The cables were an excellent choice. Would like to say it was an ez breezy experience. But I made it harder on myself. Ordered the cheapest kits on Amazon. Which came in black and a grey plastic for the hardware. I installed in a Honda Shadow A e 14 inch z bars. I kept my outer cables and all chrome hardware. Which was a bigger size than what I ordered. After messing around and a half day lost joining the existing to the new. It took less than 30 minutes to assemble the actual cables. They look fantastic. Wrapped everything in shrink tape. Due to limited funds I don't order premade wire extension. So the lend result everything in shrink tape is very professional looking. Thinking of ordering a couple extra sets. Bedause once this starts getting out. The price is going to go up. For one thing due to demand. Can't beat these kits. The videos on YouTube, Were the most informative I've seen. Watched them all. LoL The best was the one that showed 4 different ways of installation. Spot on. Thank you all at Revival very much. See you guys getting very lucrative soon. If your not already.
Originally intended to use for the clutch cable, but upon further investigation, found it is unable to use with Harley Davidson, so therefore will be used as a brake cable.
Same great quality and termination options as the throttle but the housing is a bit short for my application. I made it work but would have appreciated 2-3" longer housing. Strangely, the cable was about 2' longer than the housing.

That being said this cable kit and the How To video on YouTube made the job a breeze, Ii felt like I was a pro in the end and should quite my job and pursue my dreams of Austin bike building like Revival. Just kidding on the dreams but this is how good their product and informational videos are. In real life I bought an OEM cable and modified it. It was way too long and didn’t mate up well to the lever. Second attempt I bought an OEM cable for the transplanted lever and the cable was too short by a couple of inches. Third time was the charm. I bought this kit from Revival and cut to a perfect custom length and all the fittings provided mates up to the lever and clutch arm perfectly. Now I have a clean looking and most importantly properly functioning clutches cable.
This was just as advertised. It came with a lot of choices on the connection points, and luckily, it came with 2 of the same ball joint tip because i soldered it on and then realized i forgot to put the connection bolt on first, also again, luckily, i was about a 1/2" too long on my measurement, so i was able to cut the tip off, put a new one on and install it on my bike. Looks to be very strong and I am thankful for the extra parts. Good job guys!
It's great for what it is. Reasonably easy work of you are up for it. Fair warning ⚠️ not for use on Sportsters or any other bike where the cable enters the case below the fluid line without additional parts/fabrication.
2 issues... 1 "universal"does not include HD sportster ... No biggie... I can make it work. 2 solder less ends definitely required solder but the coating on the cable itself makes this a real P.IA.
In short... Good enough for 95% of users 95% of the time.
100% impressed over and over again by Jeff & Co at Revival. They’re patient and kind no matter the enquiry (currently resto-modding an R100/7 and have LOTS of questions about the Motogadget rewire) and go out of their way to offer creative solutions and out of the box thinking.
