In July 2016, our senior engineer Chris Auerbach rode his 2001 DRZ400 from Hatchita NM to Eureka MT along the Continental Divide. The path follows closely to the Adventure Cycling Association's published route, only taking detours where motorized vehicles are prohibited. The route is 3100 miles of ~80% dirt from forest roads to single track. Chris spent 12 days on the trail, tent camping most nights and spending some time in Yellowstone and Glacier National Park. He had a few spills but only managed to crack a mirror and lose a chain guard bolt.
